FGI Webinar: Lithium Solar Evaporation Pond Geomembrane Durability

In this webinar, Dr. Stark will describe the use of solar evaporation ponds for lithium and other minerals in Chile. In particular, Dr. Stark will focus on geomembrane durability in the harsh desert environment after five years of exposure.

Durability was assessed by sampling and testing 45 different factory fabricated panels, including seams, that had been exposed in the desert. The results show the 30 mil PVC geomembrane still met specifications after five years of exposure.
